You will put your cursor right after the equal sign and paste in your link address in the window below:

Either you just uploaded a file and you are about to post a message about it, or you want to post a link to a file that has been up awhile. The routine to do this is the same for both. To paste a link into that message and make it clickable, you need to already have the link copied into your capture buffer. After you upload a file or files to 4shared.com, it will give you a link address, and you can highlight that link it shows you and right click and "copy" the address into your buffer. Then you can open this page and click your cursor immediately after the equal sign (between the equal sign and the greater than sign), in the text window above, and paste the link in. For example if your link was http://fjam.zapto.org (just an example link), and you pasted that immediately after the equal sign in the window above it should look something like this after yoiu did that:

Ok so it'll look like that in the window. Now what you do is right click anywhere in that window, and then click "select all". That will highlight everything in the window. Then right click in the window and click "copy". Once you've done that, you can open the message editor and type in a message about the files you are linking to. After the message is typed then hit enter a time or two so the cursor drops down, right click in there and "paste". You should see the code you copied out of the window, in the message editor. Ok so now you can save the message and it'll contain a clickable link to the file you just uploaded. This help page opened in a new window so the window you came from is still open. Click back into it (or close this page), and find the "Post A Message", and then follow the instructions to open the message editor and paste in the link you just copied into your buffer above.
